JLPT vs Uno Japano

Hello all,

Today let me introduce you all about JLPT. This is the most popular Japanese exam for valuing your Japanese level.

(1) What is JLPT and N ?

When you apply for a job, or for studying abroad, you will often heard about this word JLPT / N

JLPT means Japanese-Language Proficiency Test, and N means Nihongo/ New

Japanese companies often require candidates for N3 (at least as I know), sometimes N2 or N1 for higher positions.

(2) Schedule and registration time

So, yearly, they organize 2 times : on the first Sunday of July and December

While the registration must be 2-3 months before (on April and August in my country)

The exam result will be 2 months after (normally), but you can check the online answer (unofficial) as soon as you finnished the exam on same day. Especially, Chinese website is “the fastest” for updating JLPT exam answer.

(3) Structure

All of the questions will be Multiple-choices. There is no essay writing exam so Take it easy ! You have 25% chance of making correct choice, even when you dont know what answer is.

From N5 to N3, we have 3 parts totally, and 2 breaking-time after each part of exam finnished.

From N2 to N1, we have 2 parts : VOC+Kanji+Grammar+Reading AND Listening
